Twist the knob to set the grind anywhere from fine to coarse, and the ceramic mechanism underneath does the work without rusting. Each jar is about 5.71 inches tall and 2.95 inches across, short enough to live on an open shelf. Refilling is unscrew, pour, screw back on.
