Screw it under a cabinet or onto a wall, and the counter below is free again. A ratchet inside holds the roll, so a tug tears off one sheet instead of setting the roll spinning. The holder is die-cast aluminum in a brushed silver finish with a rounded finial, about 13.78 inches long. Its flexible wire roller takes regular, select-a-size and jumbo rolls. In most cases a new roll slides on and the old tube slides off without taking the finial off. It does the same job in a garage, a laundry room or an RV, anywhere a roll on the counter would be in the way.
